**Job Summary**

The Director of Medical Communications will report to the VP, Medical Affairs at Urogen. The role will serve as a strategic lead for overall scientific communication for the company. The role will have oversight of the tactical execution of medical and scientific communication activities as well as content and channel-specific communication reflecting Medical priorities. These will include publications, independent medical education (IME) and investigator-initiated study (IIS) grant management, executive leadership team (ELT updates), Scientific Communication Platforms and Lexicons, AMCP Dossiers, and Congress and ad board planning in collaboration with Medical Brand Leads.

The Director of Medical Communications works closely with other UroGen Departments and colleagues as appropriate within the field and at the corporate office locations in Princeton, NJ and Israel.

The individual in this role participates in regional symposia, medical advisory boards, and other national/regional medical meetings.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Strategic oversight of scientific communication deliverables and scientific narrative. Requires strategic alignment with stakeholders and excellence in presentation and delivery skills.
- Assuring and accountable for strategic input from all internal and external stakeholders and its integration into all scientific communications.
- Maintenance and amending of Scientific Platform adding new internal data, external competitive landscape and label updates. This includes development of new platforms for new products based on target profile, landscape, disease state, and potential labeling, as well as vendor oversight. Alignment with all stakeholders to be maintained.
- Strategic oversight and development of a comprehensive Publication plan with regular updates to all stakeholders and integration of internal and external inputs as well as vendor oversight.
- Develop data communication plans with Development and communicate to stakeholders and when appropriate plans for compliant distribution externally.
- Develop and amend Congress planning with roll out of ad boards, educational activities and meetings with appropriate thought leaders and professional societies. Harmonize with KPIs, stakeholder needs and competitive intelligence. Coordinate closely with Field Medical and Medical product lead regarding the insights to be gathered at the Congress.
- Develop and align with Field Medical lead training content and support Review Committee for compliant use and approval.
- Develop and execute overarching scientific engagement plan aligned with Medical objectives and communicate appropriate input from stakeholders.
- Develop appropriate communications for non-medical audiences to support Board, Investor Relations, etc.
- Sense of urgency and willing to roll up sleeves when identified Business critical activities are required.

**List of qualifications**:
**Education / Experience**

Doctoral degree in clinical specialty (M.D., Pharm.D., PhD.) with 5 or more years of experience following the last stage of training (internship, residency or fellow) including 3 or more years of experience in medical affairs/ MSL in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in urology, oncology or related field highly desirable. Significant experience managing publications, IME and IIS.

**Required Skills**:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Excellent and demonstrated interpersonal skills: ability to understand and respond to multiple external and internal customers’ demands, manage and handle conflict constructively
- Demonstrated clinical or scientific technical skills including experience working with clinical trials.
- Solid understanding and adherence to SOPs/Rules/Regulations regarding internal/external UroGen/customer interactions and activities.
- Manage a significant volume of projects developed, while exhibiting the ability to prioritize, provide oversight and demonstrate excellent judgmental skills.
- Work within the medical group and across multi-disciplinary teams to accomplish responsibilities and goals
- Ability to leverage and navigate internal departments key to accomplishing multi-faceted projects and duties
- Collaborate effectively and demonstrate leadership and teamwork with peers, internal stakeholders, and external customers that inspires alignment and partnership on a shared vision or strategy.
- Be a self-starter, be accountable, and have a sense of urgency in delivering results that have impact.

Ability to travel for congresses and corporate meetings.
