This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).

At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. - Master’s degree AND two years of professional experience in education or in public administration, one year of which must be in an educational or governmental organization in an administrative position with major responsibility for one or more of the following: educational program planning, educational program evaluation, educational program auditing, educational program research, or educational program budget planning.

COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Master’s degree AND two years of professional experience in education or in public administration, one year of which must be in an educational or governmental organization in an administrative position with major responsibility for one or more of the following: educational program planning, educational program evaluation, educational program auditing, educational program research, or educational program budget planning.

**Duties Description**
- Assist in the development of processes to monitor, evaluate and disseminate best practices in LEAs' systemic approaches to educator effectiveness;
- Assist in the development of strategies and resources to address gaps in equitable access to the most effective educators aligned with the State’s equity work and ESSA requirements;
- Assist with the implementation of Education Law, Rules of the Board of Regents, Department field guidance, and all other relevant guidance materials related to teacher and principal evaluation systems;
- Review and analyze LEA teacher and principal evaluation systems to ensure compliance and conformity with applicable law and regulations;
- Assist in the development of guidance and other resources designed to support LEA implementation of teacher and principal evaluation systems;
- Assist in the ongoing collection of LEA teacher and principal evaluation data; and
- Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned.

**Additional Comments**

This position leads to a maximum salary of $101,197 based on annual performance advances.
