We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Vice President of Planning and Development. This role will be responsible for leading planning and development efforts for major projects, including coordination with federal, state, and local agencies, as well as community stakeholders.

- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance economic development objectives and promote community benefit plans.
- Provide oversight and coordination of technical consultant assistance, including planning, architecture/engineering, housing, transportation, and cultural resource services.
- Collaborate with agency representatives, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and economic development objectives are achieved.
- Prepare technical scopes of work for requests for qualifications (RFQs) and requests for proposals (RFPs) for project-specific professional planning and specialty services.
- Manage and facilitate procurement for technical consultant assistance and coordinate/direct consultant, ESD, and GO-SEMI staff as necessary to perform tasks to meet project requirements.
- Master's degree in urban planning, architecture, civil engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in public administration, private sector professional consulting, or other positions related to economic development, urban revitalization, workforce development, capital/infrastructure facilities, planning, and administration.
- Strong written, graphic, and oral communication skills, including ability to prepare summary briefings and oral presentations to senior management, governing bodies, and regulatory agencies.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and manage complex projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience working with federal, state, and local agencies, as well as community stakeholders.
- Knowledge of urban development/revitalization concepts, practices, and procedures, including real estate, city and regional planning, supervision and coordination of large-scale projects and initiatives, public development programs, and management.
- Working knowledge of various planning studies associated with broad strategic regional planning efforts, including socioeconomic, housing, transportation, community benefits programming, and technical specialty studies related to EIS/EA documentation.
