Sales Assistant and Bookkeeper

Machinery Resources International is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented sales support assistant. We are a used machinery sales and auction company needing help with answering phone calls, with day-to-day data-entry and basic bookkeeping entries, with managing transportation arrangements, handling basic product marketing for our growing company.

Tasks may vary from day to day, so does the work load.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform basic data entry and sending out product quotes on behalf of sales staff.
- Answer phone calls on multi line phone system, engage with customers daily to answer questions, resolve complaints, handle sales escalations, and set up new accounts.
- Prepare auction and consignment agreements.
- Arrange product shipments and effectively communicate with suppliers involved. Keep all parties updated with the arrangements. Open shipping claims on damaged products.
- Manage warehouse inventory
- Communicate frequently with sales agents, managers, and executives to develop and implement new methods and procedures for increasing sales, promoting brand awareness, encouraging customer loyalty, and expanding market territory.
- Handle basic bookkeeping: entering bills, purchase orders, invoices.
- Help with other miscellaneous office tasks: faxing, copying, filing.

Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Excellent communication and math skills
- Good people skills and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, work quickly and use initiative.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
