SAA is committed to supporting the holistic growth and development of our K-8 students through a comprehensive and inclusive auxiliary and athletic program. The dynamic and experienced Director of Auxiliary & Athletic Programs oversees our (4th-8th grade) athletic program as well as envisions ways to build athletic experiences for younger students to promote a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and teamwork. The Director of Auxiliary & Athletic Programs will also be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating all aspects of our auxiliary and athletic programs, including but not limited to:

- Auxiliary Program_
- Overseeing the CHOICES Coordinator
- Overseeing the AfterCare Program
- Building upon the high quality of existing after-school programs while seeking new opportunities for growth and expansion
- Athletic Program_
- Continuing to develop and implement a comprehensive athletic program that aligns with the school's mission, core values, and Social Emotional Learning Program
- Recruiting, hiring, and supervising coaches and staff members.
- Managing budgets and resources effectively to ensure the financial sustainability of the athletic program
- Scheduling and coordinating practices, games, and tournaments for all sports teams working with the intramural league(s) leadership
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing athletics. Fostering positive relationships with student-athletes, coaches, parents, and the broader school community
- Promoting a culture of sportsmanship, respect, and integrity among student-athletes, parents and staff members
- Collaborating with school administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to support the overall mission and goals of the school
- Other Responsibilities_
- Willingly contributing to school activities outside of the assigned responsibilities
- Teaching one or more PE classes
- Supporting the curriculum development of the Physical Education Department
- Serving as a Middle School adviser (as needed)

**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Management, Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Previous experience as an Athletic Director, coach, or administrator in a school or athletic organization
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire others
- Experience collaborating with a leadership & administrative team
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of athletic regulations, policies, and procedures governing interscholastic sports
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Availability to be physically present when school is in session, and at after-school programs and/or athletic events

**COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS**
- Annual Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000
- Excellent benefit package with a portion of medical paid by SAA

In the spirit of pay transparency we share the base annual salary range for this position: $90,000 - $115,000. Annual base salary is exclusive of fringe benefits, retirement plan employer contributions or potential stipends (for eligible employees). Pay ranges at SAA are reasonable estimates of what the School anticipates paying for a role but are not guaranteed. If hired at SAA, your final annual base salary will be determined by factors such as skills, education, experience, job level, part-time status and number of months of work per academic year. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity with our current employees as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full annual base salary range for the role.
