The University of Southern California is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Campus Welcome Services Manager. This role is a key part of the Auxiliary Services division, which is responsible for providing a wide range of services to students, faculty, staff, and external customers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and external customers, ensuring full satisfaction and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Supervise and manage a team of staff and student workers, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the operations of the department, ensuring compliance with university and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the department budget, including forecasting, reporting, and monitoring expenses and labor costs.
- Coordinate with other departments to provide customers with the highest level of service possible, resolving complex issues and improving customer satisfaction.
- Participate in planning and implementing communications programs within the department, including scheduling staff meetings and individual meetings to facilitate attainment of department objectives.
- Plan and administer special department or university events, assigning or performing supervision of staff during events.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all departmental and university policies and procedures, as well as applicable government and industry standards, ensuring adherence to them.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar type of division, with a focus on managerial and purchasing experience.
- Valid California driver's license required.
- Strong commitment to USC's Unifying Values of integrity, excellence, diversity, equity, and inclusion, well-being, open communication, and accountability.
- Related graduate study.
