**Position Summary**:
The Counter Sales Associate will assist the Branch Manager with the daily operations of the store, including counter sales, customer service, cash control, and inventory control.
**Essential Functions**:
- Provide premier customer service, face-to-face, and via telephone
- Take and process customer sales orders
- Build custom hose assemblies
- Respond to customer complaints and comments
- Promotes the organization on a local level
- Maintains an awareness of market trends in the area and industry, understanding customer initiatives and monitoring local competitors’ activities
- Interacts with key account managers, territory managers, and outside sales reps as necessary to meet customer service goals
- Keeps the store clean, orderly, and safe for customers and employees
- Displays merchandise attractively
- Rotating end caps
- Restocks merchandise
- Performs other duties as requested by manager
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Customer focus
- Drive and enthusiasm
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Minimum 1-3 years of counter sales experience
**Environment**:
- Retail store environment
- Minimal travel to customers for pick up/drop off merchandise may be required
- Ability to drive a company vehicle - license and good driving record required
**Education**:
- 2-year degree in Business, Engineering Technology or Marketing or 2+ years successful retail or customer service experience.
