We bake up a million budget friendly burritos in our Los Angeles, CA factory daily and serve them to burrito lovers who appreciate great taste, convenience, and quick meals filled with important daily nutrients. All of our products are slow cooked in large kettles so the spices and flavors meld together for a flavor profile that is the industry leader, and then flash frozen for freshness.
We are looking for a **Experienced Refrigeration Technician** to join our installation and repair team. As a refrigeration technician, you will be responsible for processing and completing work orders, installing new refrigeration systems, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and performing equipment maintenance. You may also be required to advise on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling units.
Partner with the Maintenance Manager to perform ordinary and preventive maintenance to the** refrigeration systems** and respond to any breakdowns and emergency repairs. Work with management to develop and implement health and safety ammonia system emergency plan. Ultimately, a top-class refrigeration technician expertly installs, repairs, and maintains refrigeration equipment for a client with the least amount of down-time.
**Refrigeration Technician Responsibilities**:
- Perform maintenance and** preventive maintenanc**e of all complex refrigeration system.
- Ensure complex and production process are in compliance with Local, State and Federal regulations
- Take care of the equipment in the cold rooms and loading dock including doors
- Measure, monitor and maintain proper levels of** ammonia** and **Freon** in all refrigeration systems.
- Use locks out/tag out process to isolate equipment prior to working on unit
- Help with start-up and shut down processes
- Other duties as assigned
**Refrigeration Technician Requirements**:
- High school diploma or GED
- Braising and soldering skills.
- Knowledge of local building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.
- Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Five or more years hand-on industrial Ammonia Refrigeration experience
- Process Safety Management (PSM) knowledge
- Experience in electrical and mechanical trouble shoot and repairs
- Must be able to work with a variety of individuals, including fellow technicians, supervisors, and clients
