Essential Functions

  • Must demonstrate daily, adequate Food Safety Knowledge
  • Must demonstrate daily, above average understanding of HACCP and its principles
  • Monitoring / Completion of all HACCP Documentation for the facility
  • Assist QA Manager, QA Lead, SQF Practitioner, in achieving company goals for the department.
  • Self-Management, in regards to time and activities while at work
  • Assist and Lead tasks in the following areas, including but not limited to, Thermometer calibration, Weight checks, Pre-operational Audit (daily), Temperature Monitoring, Environmental Testing, Sample preparation, Lab Interaction,
  • May be required to stand for the majority of the respective shift.
  • Must be able to communicate with employees, supervision as well as the management staff on an ongoing basis.
  • Overtime required.
  • Holiday and Weekend hours required.

 

Qulifications

  • Good written & oral communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to interact with customers and all levels of management and staff.
  • Basic Math

 

Physical Requirements

  • Work in varying temperatures of hot and cold.
  • Work in temperatures below zero degrees.
  • Ability to work standing for duration of shift.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated environment and on wet floors for duration of shift.
  • Lifting up to 25lbs.

 

Environment/Working Conditions

This position requires working in the Plant, Office, and Warehouse and temperatures between these facilities vary between hot and cold and wet and dry. Team work requires all members of our staff to work together and perform their jobs in a productive manner at all times. Every team member is required to clean and maintain a clean and safe environment.
