Job Summary

We're seeking an Experienced Refrigeration Technician for 1st and 2nd shift to join our installation and repair team. As a refrigeration technician, you'll be responsible for processing and completing work orders, installing new refrigeration systems, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and performing equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance of all complex refrigeration systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Local, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Take care of equipment in the cold rooms and loading dock, including doors.
  • Measure, monitor, and maintain proper levels of ammonia and Freon in all refrigeration systems.
  • Use the lockout/tagout process to isolate equipment prior to working on units.
  • Assist with start-up and shut-down processes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Brazing and soldering skills.
  • Knowledge of local building codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.
  • Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Five or more years of hands-on industrial Ammonia Refrigeration experience.
  • Process Safety Management (PSM) knowledge.
  • Experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
