Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on complex refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to develop and implement health and safety protocols for ammonia systems.
  • Provide expert advice on equipment upgrades and alternative cooling solutions to minimize energy consumption and environmental impact.
  • Work closely with management to develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills, with proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations, as well as Process Safety Management (PSM) principles.
