Job Summary

Tina's Burritos is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our installation and repair team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our refrigeration systems, which are critical to our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on complex refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to develop and implement health and safety protocols for ammonia systems.
  • Provide expert advice on equipment upgrades and alternative cooling solutions to minimize energy consumption and environmental impact.
  • Work with management to develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. mechanical engineering, HVAC) preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, with a strong background in mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations, as well as Process Safety Management (PSM) principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technicians, supervisors, and clients.
  • Braising and soldering skills, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.
