Position Summary:

- 1-2 years In related area and/or equivalent experience/training (required)
- Excellent verbal presentation skills. Incumbent must be comfortable conducting presentations for audiences of 500-1000 people. Must be able to communicate complex financial aid topics to large audiences in a clear, concise and engaging manner. (required)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, incumbent must be comfortable working with multiple departments across campus and cultivating relationships with colleagues from all the departments the Financial Aid and Scholarships Outreach Team has to work with to provide financial aid information to students. (required)
- Required to utilize financial aid processing resources, including The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), FAA Access to CPS Online, Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) and ELM. (required)
- Required to resolve student inquiries and problems by compiling and analyzing research data compiled from multiple sources; FAM, CPS online, lender and/or servicers databases etc. (required)
- Ability to communicate UCLA’s processing requirements and to work in tandem with lenders and/or servicers to resolve loan issues on behalf of the borrower. (required)
- Experience with Dot Net Nuke Website Content Management program or similar content management system. Experience using social media to engage and communicate with a student audience. (preferred)
- Knowledge of the Financial Aid Management System (FAM), Student Records System (SRS), Report Distribution System (SRS), and the Billing and Receivable System (BAR) used for accessing student data. Fluency in Spanish (preferred)
