**Title**: Office Assistant **Reports To**: Office Manager

**About Flipping Iron, Inc.** Flipping Iron is a locally owned equipment supplier of used equipment solutions for farmers, construction companies and other industries that need to sell and dispose of their heavy equipment, located in East Bakersfield. We have a long and trusted history in the scrap metal and agricultural plastics recycling industry, to include the highest quality repairs and upgrades.

**Duties and Responsibilities**: The Office Assistant is expected to perform routine duties and aid the Office Manager in completing various tasks

**Essential Job Duties**:

- As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our organization and ensuring the smooth functioning of our day-to-day operations
- Provide administrative support to various departments within the organization, including picking up mail from the post office, managing calendars, and handling correspondences
- Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for team members, ensuring cost-effective solutions and timely arrangements
- Conduct research and gather information to support decision-making processes and strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and contribute to the overall success of the organization

**Required Qualifications**:

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software
- Basic knowledge of Apple/ MAC computer and related software.
- Professional, strong work ethic, trustworthy, efficient, and organized.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
- A willingness to learn and support the mission of Flipping Iron, Inc.
- Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
- Ability to be trained in multiple capacities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently on assigned duties and be proactive and solution focused.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with Excel spreadsheet
- Exceptional time management with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bi-lingual in (Spanish)

**Equipment Used**:Apple lap top computer, printer/scanner.
- Job Type: Part-time
- Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
