American Signal Corporation is seeking a Service Manager with electromechanical and electronics experience, to direct and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in servicing and repairing Outdoor warning siren equipment, telemetry controls, training of service staff and customers, by performing the following duties personally and/or through subordinate staff.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**.

1. Developing and maintaining customer relations.

2. Ensure all work orders and service estimates are completed in a timely manner.

3. Quality assurance.

4. Process all related reporting though our Trouble Reporting Data Base system, Service Billing to ensure invoices are completed on a timely basis.

5. Appearance, cleanliness and organization of department.

6. Interview, hire, and train shop personal with a focus on technicians. Monitor and approve shop timesheets.

7. Training a shop lead who can perform the Service Manager duties during periods of absence.

8. Schedule, assign and direct workflow to ensure labor expense, margins and productivity goals are met.

9. Create an annual marketing plan which includes establishing contract and reoccurring business and the identification of potential customers and other revenue streams.

10. Achieve or exceed annual growth goals and profit goals through efficiency improvement, labor rate adjustments, training, etc.

11. Create an annual shop supplies, safety and related expense budget, and comply with company issued purchasing procedures, including purchasing approval requirements.

13. Comply and stay current with all company policies, procedures, and safety programs including all OSHA required procedures, and all local, state and federal laws.

14. Primary resource for all technical matters related to service; ensure all technicians comply with Company Warranty Procedures.

16. Maintain all shop tools and equipment in accordance with OSHA requirements.

17. Keep technicians up to date on OSHA requirements, industry procedures and best practices. Ensure technicians follow proper lock-out tag-out procedures.

18. Ensure the proper documentation for OSHA training, hazardous material reporting and other requirements is continuously up to date within the Safety Binder.

20. Other duties as assigned or requested by the Operations Manager.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in service industry managing people and department.
- Solid Electronics knowledge.
- Must have experience with equipment maintenance and service repair software.

Certifications & Licenses
- Certified Safety designation considered a plus

**Physical Demands**

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

**Work Environment**.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to work in high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather); extreme heat (non-weather) and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment may occasionally be extremely loud, and require the use of ear plugs. The employee occasionally performs work-related travel.

Pay: $26.92 - $32.42 per hour
