**Business Development Manager**

We are seeking an energectic Business Development Manager to help grow the company’s market share in the federal government. At AMA Consulting, we champion innovation and focus on creating great customer experiences for our clients.

**Specific Duties include.**

1. Execute AMA’s capture strategy to win new business along AMA’s three verticals of business: Organizational Excellence, Social Programs support and Information Management using AMA’s contract vehicles and past performance.

2. Conduct market research, competitor analysis and customer profiling using publicly available data like agency forecasts, sam.gov and GSA Ebuy and GovCon market intelligence site EZGov Opps, internet searches and social media.

3. Drive capture process from lead to prospect to opportunity to contract. Meet quarterly sales target set by the company’s CEO.

4. Form productive teaming relationships with mature small businesses, large contractors, high value key personnel for AMA bids to increase contract wins.

5. Work collaboratively with AMA Project Managers, other BD team members, contracts management team and CEO to achieve organizational objectives.

6. Build relationships with contracting officers and program officers by conducting capability briefings and attending government events to place AMA Consulting as a preferred vendor to them.

7. Lead a team of capture specialist and opportunity researchers to win new contracts.

8. Develop Sources sought, RFIs and proposal responses and submit by due dates.

**Required Qualification**

1. Minimum 5 years’ experience and proven track record of winning new business for a small government contracting firm. Preferably 8a firm.

2. In-depth knowledge and experience working in the federal contracting space. Knowledge of federal acquisition regulation and small business programs WOSB, 8a and Hubzone required.

3. At least 5 years professional experience in one of AMA’s vertical of business: Organizational Excellence, Education or Public Health Programs or Information Management programs.

4. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to write management sections of proposal, collect technical sections from PMs, organize a proposal document according to RFQ requirements, proofread, format and edit proposal documents, issue data calls to teaming partners.

5. 5 years’ experience sales experience, managing a government contracting sales cycle and closing deals.

6. Must be organized and have experience using project management tools ASANA to assign tasks, track active bids, conduct follow-ups with leads, prospects, and customers.

7. Must have interpersonal skills to create and maintain relationships with AMA clients, potential clients, partners, and internal team.

8. Must be creative and innovative, willing to bring new ideas and fresh thinking and have an enterprising attitude.

9. Must be flexible to work hours needed to advance the organization’s objectives.
