As a Contact Center Agent **(Records Program Associate - Entry)** at the Department of Financial Institutions, you will utilize your excellent communication and data entry skills to assist and respond to customer inquiries regarding program services offered by the agency.

This full-time permanent position is headquartered at the **Hill Farms State Office Building** on the near west side of Madison. We are also conveniently located close to the restaurants, shopping, and entertainment of the **Hilldale Mall**. **The hours of work for this position are 7:45am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. **Following the initial training period, this position may be eligible to work a hybrid schedule with up to a few days per week working remotely.

The Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) ensures the safety and soundness of Wisconsin’s financial institutions, protects consumers of financial services and facilitates economic growth. **Position Summary**:
**Salary Information**:
This position is in schedule-range (02-11) with a** salary of $21.23 per hour, plus excellent benefits**. A twelve-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

**Job Details**:
This state agency **does not** sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.

Certain positions within this Department may allow hybrid/work from home flexibility for a portion of their work schedule following the initial training period, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit. This topic and any hybridized work flexibility that may be available will be discussed in more detail in the interview process. It is **not** anticipated that working outside of Wisconsin (or bordering cities) will be allowed because of the business need to come to the office in Madison, WI.

**Qualifications**:

- Composing written business correspondence(s) using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, SharePoint, OneNote)
- Using multiple databases to conduct detailed research (i.e. file/records checks, verifying case information)
- Performing day-to-day administrative tasks (i.e. filing electronic and paper documents, receiving/sorting and prepping mail, etc.)

**In addition to possessing all of the above criterion, a well-qualified applicant will also detail having experience in one or more of the following**:

- Handling sensitive/confidential information and/or documentation
- Call center/customer service experience
- Referencing or interpreting statutes, policies, and/or procedures
