**Job Summary**

**Core Whitman-Walker Primary Essential Duties**:

***Role Specific Primary Essential Duties**:

- Collects participant data, including medical history, vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy, and conducts the processing, ordering, and shipping of samples.
- Performs study medication administration including IV placement and medication infusion, and SQ/IM injection administration per study protocol.
- Conduct and coordinate recruitment, enrollment, and follow-up activities maintain active records, and perform relevant data entry for all activities.
- Accurately completes source documents performs or supervises data entry and reviews all quality control processes as needed per protocol.
- Effectively use electronic study tracking and other data systems and troubleshoot and communicate any ongoing issues with such systems, coordinate and train on the use of these systems among other staff.
- Support clinical and biomedical research through detailed observation, measurement, and accurate data collection as defined by the protocol specifications and clinical judgment.
- Coordinates and trains project staff on clinical study procedures, including phlebotomy, HIV testing/counseling, and other sample collection and processing techniques.
- Works with investigators and department leadership to coordinate multiple clinical trials and dedicated project staff.
- Ensures that all protocols are strictly followed, and reviews interview forms and questionnaires for completeness.
- Provides protocol information, informed consent, and educational material to prospective or current clients to facilitate the client's understanding of protocols and treatments.
- Assess and coordinate inventory and ongoing availability of necessary materials and supplies.
- Review, comply with, provide feedback on, revise/update, and assist with training on relevant SOPs.
- Coordinates referrals for case management, primary care, and specialty care as necessary.
- Assess and respond to distress, difficulty, or other emergent issues within the conduct of research protocols.
- Ensure safe and positive experiences for all research participants.
- Work across multiple projects that may shift over time, remaining flexible and balancing priorities.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Train and supervise research staff on clinical study procedures across projects
