Position Overview

A Lead Research Coordinator is the key individual responsible for the design, execution, and management of research grants, cooperative agreements, training initiatives, or other sponsored projects. This role involves overseeing collaborative efforts and ensuring the integrity of partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations into allegations of misconduct involving staff members, including sensitive child protection claims against students, under the guidance of a Director.
  • Generate timely correspondence, briefings, and reports related to individual investigations, adhering to organizational policies and style guidelines.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships across various teams, educational institutions, and relevant external agencies, fostering a culture of open communication and alignment with governmental policies.
  • Maintain detailed electronic and physical records of investigations to support recommendations to decision-makers and comply with accountability requirements from oversight bodies.
  • Exemplify a commitment to continuous learning regarding current legislative developments and emerging issues in child protection.
  • Design and implement training programs related to investigative practices to ensure adherence to organizational standards and procedures.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in conducting complex social science research studies with rigorous methodologies, ideally related to the Department of Labor's programs.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a principal investigator role or equivalent capacity.
  • Proficiency in childcare data analysis and market rate surveys; experience with federal surveys, including the American Community Survey and Current Population Survey; adeptness in handling missing data; ability to communicate research findings effectively to inform policy and program decisions.
