The **Fleet** **Equipment Dispatcher** will be responsible for tracking equipment amongst projects, assisting project managers, division managers, speaking to 3rd party vendors, and assist where needed. Manages the assignment, maintenance and repair of the organization's vehicles and equipment. Develops and implements vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance and repair programs. Ensures processes are followed and all equipment management systems are updated timely and accurately. Familiar with a variety of the field operations’ concepts, practices, and work procedures. Analyzes life cycle and utilization rates making recommendations on replacement, addition and / or sale of assets as needed. Follows procedures for acquisition and divestiture of fleet assets including on-road and off-road equipment.

**Functional Requirements**:

- Interacts with Equipment leadership to fill needs identified by Operations.
- Develop and maintain adequate equipment pool to see that quick operational and project requirements can be met when needed.
- Ensures systems are updated timely and accurately and that equipment assignments are always accurate.
- Oversees shop processes that ensure all assets are properly maintained at appropriate intervals.
- Evaluates repair activities and makes decisions on whether corrective action is the best decision considering the ownership status, book value / lease life remaining, cost, etc.
- Optimizes expenditures on staff, maintenance, equipment repairs and purchases.
- Responsible for compliance to all Company policies and practices as well as any government regulations.

**Responsibilities**
- Processes equipment orders from start to finish.
- Maintains owned asset utilization.
- Responsible for sourcing equipment from rental vendors as needed.
- Interacts with Field Operations to fill project needs.
- Ensures data systems are updated timely and accurately.
- Responsible for compliance to all Company policies and practices as well as any government regulations (Insurance, Registration, DOT, etc.).
- Schedules service calls on rented equipment in a timely manner.

**Requirements and Qualifications**
- At least 5 years’ experience in dispatching and equipment operations, preferable in the construction industry.
- Ability to follow instruction and communicate effectively.
- Proven ability to multi-task.
- Think and act strategically carrying out long-term plans to meet operational needs and departmental goals.
- Sound knowledge of computer software such as Access, Excel, View Point, P-Vault.
