**Big Tree Hospitality is hiring a Part Time Human Resources Assistant**

Big Tree Hospitality, owners of Eventide Oyster Co, The Honey Paw, Eventide Fenway, Big Tree Foods, Big Tree Catering, Town Landing Market, Higgins Beach Market, and South Freeport Market is hiring a part time Human Resources (HR) Assistant. The HR Assistant will work directly with the Director of Human Resources to provide professional, administrative, and clerical support, ensuring confidentiality and timely and efficient data entry and processing.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or enhance their career in the HR world with an exciting and growing hospitality group Experience in HR preferred, though not required. Limited remote work may be available after training is complete. Generally, the schedule will be weekdays and daytime hours between 10-20 hours per week dependant upon the season.

**Basic Responsibilities**:

- Process and enter new hires, transfers and terminations into HRIS for all required locations and with associated paperwork, ensuring all entries/files are thoroughly complete
- Execute updates of relevant employee lists
- File accident forms with MEMIC and help upkeep associated documents
- Assist with job postings, as needed
- Assist in document editing and updating
- Assist in setting up and processing annual Open Enrollment, as needed
- Upkeep of employee files both manually and virtually making sure documents are appropriately filed and organized
- Complete assigned weekly payroll entries thoroughly and on-time
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
- Fill in for HR Specialist when they are out of office
- Assist in any new projects with the HR Director as needed

**Qualifications**:

- At least 1 year of HR related experience or education, preferred
- Basic knowledge of employment and benefit laws, preferred
- Experience with Word and Excel
- Ability to navigate conflicts and challenges with respect and a solutions-oriented approach
- Autonomous motivation to consistently and successfully complete tasks and manage projects to completion
- Consistency in work level, approachable demeanor and positive attitude
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with high level of attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position
- Fluent in English language (writing, reading and speaking), secondary language skills appreciated
- Ability to multitask, maintain organization and perform in a high-quality, time-efficient manner
- Excellent and professional communication skills (both oral and written)
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

**Responsabilidades básicas**:

- Procesar e ingresar nuevas contrataciones, transferencias y despidos en HRIS para todas las ubicaciones requeridas y con la documentación asociada, asegurando que todas las entradas/archivos estén completamente completos.
- Ejecutar actualizaciones de listas de empleados relevantes
- Presentar formularios de accidentes ante MEMIC y ayudar a mantener los documentos asociados.
- Ayudar con las ofertas de trabajo, según sea necesario.
- Ayudar en la edición y actualización de documentos.
- Ayudar a configurar y procesar la Inscripción Abierta anual, según sea necesario
- Mantenimiento de los archivos de los empleados, tanto de forma manual como virtual, asegurándose de que los documentos estén archivados y organizados adecuadamente.
- Completar minuciosamente y a tiempo las entradas de nómina semanales asignadas
- Producir correspondencia por correo electrónico oportuna y profesional.
- Desarrollar y mantener relaciones laborales positivas con los demás.
