Human Resources Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including handling paperwork, scheduling interviews, and maintaining HR databases.
- Assist in recruitment by posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting reference checks, and coordinating interviews.
- Aid in onboarding new hires by preparing documentation, conducting orientations, and ensuring a smooth integration process.
- Assists with HR-related inquiries
- Support benefits administration by assisting in coordinating employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, health FSA, life insurance, 401(k), COBRA, etc.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant or in a relevant administrative role.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong follow-through, a resilient nature, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Tech-savvy proficiency in MS Office and HR software systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Self-starter mentality with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task execution.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
CRITFC Motor Vehicle Policy
This job occasionally requires driving a CRITFC vehicle or your own vehicle for business (mileage compensated), and therefore, you must be able to meet the terms of the CRITFC Motor Vehicle policy. Per the policy, applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for the past three years. This includes a three-year record clear of the following:
- Reckless Driving
- Driving Under the Influence
- Suspension or revoked license
- No more than two at-fault accidents
- No more than one major violation or two minor violations.
