Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for patients (only cardiac procedures)
- Communicate with patients, physicians, and medical staff to ensure accurate scheduling
- Verify patient insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations
- Maintain electronic medical records and update patient information as needed
- Utilize medical scheduling software - Microsoft Outlook
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries regarding surgery appointments
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient scheduling and patient care
- Collaborate with office staff for other outpatient office functions during clinic days.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience as a Surgery Scheduler or in a similar role within a medical office setting
- Proficiency in using medical office systems and software
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to surgery scheduling
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and medical staff
Pay: $20.57 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
