**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Content Strategy: Collaborate with brand leads on the Performance Marketing team to craft narratives that support global alpha themes, localized sales efforts, championship/marquee events, and top-of-funnel awareness activity
- Partner and Sponsor: Collaborate with sponsorship and advertising sales teams to develop and execute innovative content strategies that meet the individualized needs of partners
- Content Creation: Oversee the creation of high-quality, compelling content by elevating brand pillars and the sport narrative across multiple channels
- Organic Social Strategy: Develop a cohesive organic social media content strategy across all global platforms under the Spartan portfolio umbrella including, but not limited to building strategic plans and performance analysis.
- Media Production: Story-tell the brand narratives and amplify campaign objectives through video and motion graphics by leading the team with pre-production planning, scripting, feedback and post-placement reporting.
- Editorial: Oversee global editorial strategy across Spartan and Tough Mudder brands supporting quarterly portfolio brand initiatives, as well as driving localized content.
- Copy and Positioning: Lead verbal direction for key brand campaigns through taglines, positioning, and tonal copy
- Budget Management: Manage the content production and media budget effectively, including expenses related to events and travel, freelance staffing, and media equipment
- Team Management: Lead a team of video, content and copy/editorial professionals by providing strategic leadership, direction and feedback.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in media production, content creation, organic social or a related role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Proven track record of producing impactful multimedia content, including videos, photography, written content and other visual assets.
- Strong creative vision and storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for detail and visual aesthetics.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media content strategies that have driven engagement, increased followership, and achieved business objectives.
- 2-3 years of experience leading a team, with strong project management and strategic planning skills.
