Export Documentation Specialist

Description:
The Export Documentation Specialist (EOS) is a vital member of the NVOCC operations team within RMG. The EOS is the primary liaison between RMG customers and the steamship lines with which RMG conducts business. The NVOCC function is fast paced and requires great care and attention with respect to the vast amounts of information and forms that the NVOCC group must generate/process. The EOS also must interface/interact with the Logistics and Operations teams of RMG to assist and support with the successful onward movement of customer cargoes.

**Key Job Duties**:

- Receive and process booking requests from customers
- Submit booking requests to steamship lines, confirm bookings and enter information into system
- Receive and process shipping instructions from customers, and enter/submit the same into system
- Receive draft bills of lading from steamship lines and send them to the customers for review
- Process revisions and iterate between steamship line and customers to finalize bills of lading
- Manage inventory of serialized outbound bill of lading forms
- Receive outbound bill of lading files, print them to serialized forms, and mail them to steamship lines
- Receive and process customer requests for container changes of destination
- File changes of destination in the Automated Export System (AES) and in system
- Receive and process customer requests for splitting of bookings, as well as combinations of multiple bookings
- File rates with the Federal Maritime Commission through its DPI platform
- Other tasks as directed

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1 year of applicable experience in the Transportation industry
- Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field helpful
- Strong technical skills required. Experience with document processing or logistics software necessary. Experience with Cargowise preferred
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines while handling multiple priorities
- Willingness to work as a team with other departments
