**Rothman Orthopaedics** is currently seeking a **Financial Controller** to serve as an integral part of the accounting team, overseeing and managing all functions, including personnel, with a direct impact to the financials statements, as well as playing a key role in assisting the organization with enhancing processes and procedures through automation and other applicable streamlining. This position will be based in **Center City Philadelphia.**

**Essential Duties**:

- Direct oversight and management of general, day-to-day accounting functions and personnel including Payroll, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Senior Accountant(s) and Staff Accountant(s).
- Lead the organization's treasury function which include the development and implementation of accurate cash flow forecasting and management of banking, leases and credit cards.
- Assist with the development and implementation of robust internal controls and applicable policies and procedures which are to be maintained and monitored throughout the department. Controls, policies and procedures are to comply with laws, regulations and GAAP standards, where applicable.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and records, including any and all journal entries recorded as part of the month-end close process. Advise immediately of any errors, irregularities and/or significant adjustments as they occur.
- Learn and utilize current accounting (Intacct) and AP (Stampli) software to ensure efficiency and that all financials are properly reported and reconciled.
- Communicate and collaborate within the department and across the organization to ensure financial reporting is completed timely and accurately.
- Serve as primary contact for the external tax advisors and auditors, providing all required information, including supporting schedules, necessary to ensure timely tax and audit filings.
- Work directly with the FP&A team to understand monthly financials fluctuations, budget variances, etc. and to assist with the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Drive process improvements and optimize efficiencies in the accounting and reporting area, including elimination or streamlining of manual or non-effective tasks.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance
- CPA (required)
- 7-10 years of direct management & corporate accounting experience at a healthcare organization
- Healthcare finance and accounting knowledge
- Strong proficiency and understanding of Microsoft, especially Excel. Self-starter with the ability to identify issues, problem solve and think critically; Proactive leadership to encourage and promote professional development within the team; Ability to work under time constraints and pressure

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Masters degree
- Corporate accounting experience at a multi-site physicians practice
- Prior healthcare services revenue accrual and physician compensation experience is a must
- Proficiency with Sage Intacct (accounting system) and Stampli (AP)
