**The Office of Online & Professional Learning Resources **award-winning Instructional Media and Media Services Team is focused on developing rich learning experiences for online students. We are looking for an Instructional Media Specialist who has a passion for video audio design and implementing production management in instructional media that both engages and informs in online courses.
You will work with an ambitious group of graphic designers, motion graphic artists, UX designers, and videographers; all of whom are passionate about creating a visual and interactive experience for our online students. We work in a collaborative environment where your ideas and abilities will be an essential part of our projects.
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Design and/or format instructional presentations to display online course materials in a visually appealing and pedagogically appropriate manner using e-learning authoring and packaging tools
- Make creative and visual decisions that encourage watch completion rate on produced videos
- Edit and export audio and video files, encode video content, create and manipulate images, and work on web pages
- Plan and perform post-video production tasks including reviewing videos, making editorial decisions, audio adjustments, color corrections, and finalize edits
- Edit audio files to reduce external noise and cut superfluous content for interactive presentations, podcasts, and other audio-centered media content
- Work with file servers to maintain and populate file archiving, versioning, and back-up procedures of e-learning assets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop multimedia implementation strategies
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- An associate degree in a closely related field (video/audio design, multimedia design) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in media production with demonstrated experience in storyboarding, audio production, and post-production including video editing to produce high-quality video projects
- Knowledge of working with a learning management system (LMS), correcting hyperlinks, embed codes, or edits within e-learning assets.
- Interpersonal relationship skills and ability to effectively and professional interact within a team environment
- Demonstrate project and time management skills to work in a flexible team setting, requiring both independent work and team-based collaboration
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's degree in video audio design, multimedia design, multimedia production, or closely related field
- 2+ years' experience as a designer/developer with experience and understanding of informational multimedia production and adult learning theories
- Experience working in higher education and working closely with faculty
- Experience in ADA compliance, WCAG 3, universal design, inclusion in online learning, and best practices in media usage for adult online learning
- Experience designing videos, narrated presentations and graphics to support and augment instructional value to courses
- Previous experience working with third-party accessibility providers
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Audition; willingness to work with and resear
