**A Day in the Life**

As a Desktop Support Technician, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive IT support for both internal and external customers. You will perform a variety of technical tasks, including the diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and installation of computer hardware, software, and related equipment. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT systems and meeting the diverse needs of our users. Your key responsibilities include:
**Support Management**
- Provide primary desktop support for all AER locations and remote staff.
- Manage, identify, and prioritize support requests for timely resolution.
- Provision credentials for new hire employees and assist with Active Directory and network management.
- Offer user support, training, and education.

**System Security**
- Monitor and maintain security on workstations, servers, and IT equipment.
- Ensure systems are secured, patched, and protected.
- Monitor corporate virus protection software and remedy malware-infected devices.
- Help maintain robust cybersecurity practices and policies.

**Equipment Management**
- Monitor and maintain workstations, laptops, wearable PCs, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
- Execute IT-based repairs or replacements.
- Install and maintain PCs, telephones, wireless networks, and peripheral devices.
- Maintain an organized IT storage room and comprehensive asset log.
- Submit Purchase Order requests to management for equipment replacement.

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Recommend proactive remedies to management.
- Meet daily productivity goals.
- Identify opportunities to enhance technology and innovation.
- Work overtime and travel to other facilities as required.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

**What You Bring to the Table**
- A+ Certification or BA/BS in an IT-related field.
- Minimum three years of work experience supporting mid to large-size corporate IT environments.
- Minimum three years of work experience supporting Windows 10/11 OS.
- Minimum three years of work experience using Azure Active Directory, Windows Active Directory, or other Azure-based cloud computing technologies and server-based platforms.
- Minimum three years supporting Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to troubleshoot software issues and perform installations/upgrades.
- Understanding of local area networks (LAN) and network connectivity troubleshooting
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and work with mínimal supervision.
- Self-starter capable of identifying software and hardware inefficiencies.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks under pressure.
- Advanced analytical skills; able to solve complex problems.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Current certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, Google, CompTIA, and other IT certifying bodies.
- Dynamic, outgoing personality.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
