- Inform customers of and promote SP Scientific products and services.
- Provide training assistance in equipment operation and maintenance.
- Test, troubleshoot, repair and service most complex systems problems.
- Debug and repair assemblies and systems and do final test using electronic test equipment and schematics.
- Provide service on important and complex projects.
- Serve as liaison between customer and SP Scientific on all support and service issues.
- Remain current on technical and process knowledge to properly support SP Scientific products.
- Maintain and complete all related documentation & reports associated with field service duties.
- Provide input to improve system design, performance, and technical documentation.
- Work independently with moderate supervision.
- Travel to customer sites as needed.

**Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills and Certifications**:

- Degree or Certificate from approved two year college or technical school in related field, five years related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Refrigeration (EPA Universal Card)
- Basic understanding of PLC Controls including ladder logic.
- Familiarity and use of test equipment.
- Familiarity and use of hand tools.
- Plumbing, including piping and brazing.
- Electrical/Electronic knowledge.
- Understanding of technical instructions, schematics, blueprints and specifications.
- Mechanical Skills.
- Computer Skills

**Language Skills**:
Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, operating, maintenance and procedure manuals. Effective writing skills to produce reports, correspondence, etc.

**Mathematical Skills**:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs.

**Work environment**
- Work is normally performed in both the office and the shop.
- The office environment is an interior office with air conditioning.
- The shop area contains mobile equipment, machinery, and high voltages.
- The shop noise level is variable and may require hearing protection in some areas.
- The shop is heated when required but many areas are not air conditioned.
- Some shop processes use high voltage arcs or concentrated magnetic fields.
