Job Overview:

You will develop and implement compliance strategies, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and promote ethical conduct. Your role will involve collaborating with all 9 locations and various departments to assess and address compliance needs, conducting audits, and providing training to employees to foster a culture of compliance.

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Regulatory Compliance**: Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to the automotive industry, including safety standards, emissions regulations, consumer protection laws, and data privacy requirements.

2. **Policy Development**: Develop, review, and update compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

3. **Risk Assessment**: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks effectively.

4. **Internal Audits**: Plan and execute compliance audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and processes, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.

5. **Training and Education**: Develop and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees on relevant regulations, company policies, and ethical standards, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

6. **Investigations**: Investigate compliance-related incidents, complaints, or concerns, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

7. **Vendor Management**: Assess compliance of third-party vendors and suppliers, including dealerships, manufacturers, and service providers, to ensure alignment with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.

8. **Data Protection**: Oversee data privacy and security compliance efforts, including the implementation of data protection policies, procedures, and safeguards in accordance with applicable laws such as CCPA.

9. **Reporting**: Prepare regular compliance reports for management, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders, highlighting key compliance metrics, findings, and recommendations for improvement.

10. **Continuous Improvement**: Stay abreast of emerging compliance trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes, and proactively adapt compliance strategies and initiatives accordingly.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification in compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) is preferred.

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field, with a comprehensive understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex regulatory requirements and their implications on business operations.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate compliance concepts to diverse audiences.

4. Proven track record of developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and procedures in a corporate environment.

5. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

6. Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrity and accountability.

7. Proficiency in using compliance management software and tools for documentation, tracking, and reporting purposes.
