**JOB SUMMARY**

The Resident Services Coordinator manages the day-to-day responsibilities of the front office and serves as a liaison between residents and management, ensuring all interactions are in alignment with New Hope’s standards, objectives, and mission. Responsible for meeting the immediate needs of residents at the assigned property.

The Resident Services Coordinator supports and executes the organization’s mission and strategies by creating a welcoming atmosphere and that inspires and uplifts families, encourages participation, works closely with other departments, and ensures proper data collection. A Resident Services Coordinator should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt and be flexible in their approach to assisting residents. The Resident Services Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and policies related to fair housing and non-discrimination.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Resident Coordinator Job Functions**
- Responsible for screening potential tenants to ensure they meet the property's requirements. This involves conducting background checks, verifying employment and income, and checking references to assess their suitability as tenants.
- Responsible for conducting property showings to interested tenants. They must be knowledgeable about the property's features, amenities, and lease terms, and effectively communicate this information to potential tenants.
- Explain lease terms, answer any questions, and ensure both parties understand and agree to the terms before signing the lease agreement.
- Responsible for maintaining positive relationships with tenants throughout their tenancy. They address tenant concerns, coordinate maintenance and repairs, and ensure that the property is well-maintained and in compliance with local regulations.
- Responsible for welcoming guests to the rental property and connecting them with any necessary community resources.
- Organizing, coordinating, and promoting community events and activities to promote resident engagement and a sense of community.
- Assisting residents with move-in and move-out processes, including intake meetings, conducting unit inspections, and coordinating necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Collaborating with property management and maintenance teams to ensure prompt resolution of resident issues and maintenance requests.
- Identify potential collaborative partners for future engagement opportunities and manage ongoing partner relationships.
- Ensuring resources both monetary and non-monetary, are used to effectively support engagement and resident needs.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or training is a plus.
- Previous experience in customer service, resident engagement, leasing, or office administration is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with diverse individuals.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in using computer systems, including MS Office Suite and property management software.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and leasing procedures is desirable.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

**ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY**

Attendance is an essential job function. Attendance for a resident services coordinator is required during Monday through Saturday business hours, but it may also include additional hours and weekends as needed.

Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and relevant work history.

**EQUIPMENT**

Duties will require the regular use of telephones, computers, fax machines, scanners, and calculators. Must have access to a personal vehicle and hold a valid state driver’s license and insurance.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**

Must have the ability to lift moderately heavy objects up to 25lbs. and perform duties requiring extensive maneuverability and normal strength.
