MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
NY HELPS
This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).
At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all of the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in a NY HELPS title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified.

**Duties Description**
- Reply to internal and external correspondence that includeboth written and telephone inquiries;
- Assist with the implementation of the E-licensing project;
- Provide guidance to internal and external customers;
- Serve as liaison to other areas of OP and SED to improve processes and promote improvement of current procedures;
- Provide guidance and support to clerical staff, using Law, regulation and policy to make decisions on non-routine questions;
- Research and create statistical reports;
- Supervise work processes of subordinate staff;
- Represent DPLS on various SED committees; and

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- $42,883 (Trainee 1- NS equated to SG-11)
- $47,925 (Trainee 2- NS equated to SG-13)
- $50,678 (Full Performance level SG-14)
This position leads to a maximum salary of $64,693 based on annual performance advances and traineeship advances.
