Department Overview

The Utility Partnerships and Innovation (UPI) team is focused on the creation of transformative, scalable solutions to interlocking utility challenges through the development of third-party partnerships and the deployment of new technology and solutions that directly accelerates PG&E’s long-term strategy.

The New Revenue Development (NRD) organization is an entrepreneurial, customer-focused team in UPI whose purpose is to advance innovative uses of PG&E assets, resources, expertise and relationships. Through the products and services that NRD develops and manages, NRD generates positive net revenue that lowers rates for PG&E customers and has the opportunity to provide benefit to shareholders.

Position Summary

The Director, New Revenue Development is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of PG&E’s non-tariffed products and services. The Director oversees the development, implementation, and ongoing delivery of non-tariffed products and services, using available capacity of PG&E’s tangible and intangible assets, expertise, personnel, and other resources. Additionally, the role ensures that non-tariffed products and services align with and support PG&E’s strategic and financial plans, programs, and goals.

Job Responsibilities
Oversees development and delivery of all PG&E’s non-tariffed products and services
Oversees all regulatory reporting requirements in support of PG&E’s non-tariffed products and services, including preparation of testimony, workpapers, and data request / discovery responses for the General Rate Case (CPUC) and Transmission Owner rate case (FERC)
Directs Managers, Principals, and Supervisors performing work in the areas of business development, product evaluation and development, product management, operations, contract management, and financial forecasting and reporting
Sets strategic direction, goals, short-term and long-term plans and policies for NRD and ensuring they are aligned with UPI and PG&E’s direction and objectives.
Provides effective leadership and employee development through performance evaluation and development planning, and provides frequent, open and honest feedback. Coaches and mentors coworkers to improve their knowledge and skills, with a focus on PG&E’s virtues.
Ensures work is performed safely and in compliance with PG&E and CPUC regulations, standards, and requirements.
Uses Lean tools effectively to lead, evaluate and improve plans, processes, and products.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal business partners. Represents company at leadership level with customers, vendor partners, regulators, intervenors, and other stakeholders.
Emergency response duties, as assigned.

**Minimum**:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
10 years of relevant experience
5+ years of experience managing and growing a portfolio of products and services for profit & loss, at low risk and high customer satisfaction
10+ years managing employees

**Desired**:
MBA, Master’s degree in finance, engineering, or related post-graduate degree
