- CDSS is seeking an experienced administrator to lead our interpretation and communication access teams. Under the guidance of the Staff Services Manager III (Bureau Chief), the Interpretation and Communication Access Section Chief (Staff Services Manager (SSM II)) will oversee the work of our Interpretation and Communication Access Units. The SSM II will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving policies and processes to ensure the effective operation of the Department's language and communication access services functions, which play a central role in fulfilling the Department's mission of delivering equitable, efficient, and effective services to California's population. Additionally, they will coordinate CARE Branch administrative functions.
