The IT Technical Support Specialist will provide Technical support to MEMIC employees. This individual will work as a team member and will be involved in making team decisions on hardware and software upgrades as well as deployment of new and replacement equipment. They will troubleshoot issues with performance of business operation hardware and software to include Windows devices/phones and Apple phones and tablets. Participation in evaluating network, hardware and software problems and will assist in getting the problem resolved.
- Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations. This will require discretion, independent judgment, documentation and reporting
- Responsible for troubleshooting and resolution of operational performance of laptops, tablets, VPN tokens, wireless access and phones.
- Supporting the Operations and Technical team with network performance issues; this includes but is not limited to monitoring, network and internet resources
- Supports and monitors MEMIC branch offices network performance and supports and documents employee hardware and software needs on a regular basis.
- Set up, deployment and support of new or replacement business equipment and software.
- Assist MEMIC's remote users with connectivity issues.
- Act as project lead on technical conversions, installations, and moves to include hardware and software.
- Work with outside vendors on their products and coordinating resolution which involves analysis, planning and design.
- Provide Help Desk Coverage

**Requirements**:

- Associate of Science in Computer Services or equivalent experience with 2-3 years' experience in the field preferred.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft environment to include Windows 7 and 8.1, Windows Server 2008, 2012 and Office 2013, Windows Terminal Server, IBM AS/400 operating systems, Lotus Notes environment, Microsoft active directory.
- Project coordination, completion and follow up with strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment
