This individual will be responsible for selecting, implementing, and maintaining the wine, cocktail,beer, and non-alcohol beverage program at Press Club. In addition, the director will also be the assistant general manager at Press Club, responsible for opening, closing, and staff management.Responsibilities also include hiring/firing/scheduling, inventory management, event facilitation and floor management. This position will be on the floor and guest facing during the core work hours
(4pm-10pm) of Press Club five days a week.
The skills and responsibilities of the AGM/ Beverage Director include, but are not limited to, the
following:
- Floor management; closing and opening
- Staff scheduling
- Select,,purchase and maintain alcohol selection/menu at Press Club to adequate
inventory levels
- Work with distributors, wineries and other suppliers to create a mutually beneficial and
profitable wine program
- Promotes education agenda through regular staff training/classes and has as a direct
hand in making people successful
- Create, implement, and monitor inventory management system at Press Club for all alcohol
- Monitor and analyze business trends
- Implement new wine, cocktail & beer programs to drive
- Receive inventory and track invoices
- Implement new policies to improve systems, organization, and efficiency of the
business
- Operate as part of the management team
- Maintain a positive attitude while working with ownership, managers and staff
- Maintains a trackable Wine & Beer Action Plan that details,the strategy behind beverage movement
and costs
- Executes an accurate weekly inventory count
- Ensure enough updated menus are printed for FOH
business.
- Ensure POS is accurate and up to date
- Creates programming for our customer base to energize
and promote Press Club as a premium wine destination.
- Orders/ tracks glassware and works to improve shrinkage
- Ability to participate in strategic and business development initiatives with
owners
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
