Production Lead

The primary responsibility of the production lead role is to oversee production and warehouse efficiency as well as assist office with calls and dispatching.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinate with GM and office staff to maintain adequate levels of each product on a daily basis.
- Manage warehouse inventory and make sure all freezers are clean and organized.
- Responsible for maintenance and repair on all equipment.
- Responsible for conducting preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Have a basic understanding of production equipment mechanics, be able to adjust or swap equipment when needed to continue an uninterrupted shift.
- Help monitor product quality including; bags not properly tied, foreign objects, yellow ice and any deviation from standards. Keep all bagged ice products off the floors
- Learn to start and stop the line when needed.
- Report maintenance needs to General manager
- Keep the area safe and report potential hazards to general manager.
- Work with mechanics and drivers to insure maintenance of commercial vehicles and HVAC equipment and report any issues to the General manager.
- Ensure that production leader cleans the immediate work area and entire facility before and after production shift as well as schedule weekly and monthly deep cleaning as required by SSOPs
- Startup and shutdown the production room.
- Assist Office staff with answering calls as well as dispatching on an as needed basis.
- Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.
