The Senior Analyst, Revenue Recognition will partner with Sales, Legal, Sales Operations, and Pricing teams, and play a trusted advisor role for customer contract negotiations, and perform contract review for revenue recognition compliance.
The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment across many different functions within the business and the finance organization. A successful applicant must possess strong documentation and analytical skills, coupled with the proclivity to spot trends, troubleshoot, and communicate findings to management.
Responsibilities: Work with Sales, Sales Operations, Pricing, and Legal during contract negotiations and provide suggestions and guidance in order to ensure proper revenue recognition.
Review revenue contracts for compliance with US GAAP and determine the appropriate accounting treatment (ASC 606).
Maintain documentation for all review and compliance work completed.
Work with the Revenue Recognition team and respective business partners to develop and maintain SOX Compliance.
Engage with external auditors.
Assist with ad hoc special projects, including revenue analyses and reporting.
Deliver the highest standard of departmental, cross-departmental and cross-region customer service.
Experience/Skills Required: Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).
Understanding of monthly accounting close process.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences as well as high-level executives.
Project management skills including planning, task assignment, status tracking, and reporting.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, with a heavy emphasis on Excel and Powerpoint (or Google versions).
Strong work ethic with an attention to detail required.
Experience/Skills Desired: CPA preferred.
Salesforce and Zuora RevPro skills highly desirable.
Public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred) and/or high growth SaaS/Software background.
Team player who is able to work with virtual, global, and cross-functional teams while championing the diversity of team, thought, and opinion.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, fast-growing company where adaptability is imperative.
Interpersonal skills; ability to articulate verbally and in writing; ability to think quickly and present to an audience.
Strong ability to multi-task; able to prioritize and manage competing goals and responsibilities.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $101,900 to $140,200. For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $101,900 to $140,200. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
