Job Overview:
The Sr. Accountant, Revenue will be responsible for overseeing revenue accounting processes across multiple products and segments. This position requires a strong understanding of revenue recognition principles, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing revenue for multiple products, preferably in the AdTech or technology industry, and will be proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee revenue accounting processes across multiple products and segments
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
- Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and general ledger reconciliations associated with revenue, deferred revenue, unbilled liabilities, and cost accounts
- Review and interpret contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment
- Work with the sales, sales operation, and AR collection team to ensure proper documentation of revenue transactions
- Investigate and resolve complex revenue and billing issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in revenue accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and ASC 606
- Proven track record of managing revenue for multiple products
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
