Currently, our Navy Aviation Division is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Administrative Security Assistant to join our team in the Lexington Park, MD.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative and organization support for a NAWCAD Department, to include assistance performing Administrative Security related duties

  • Perform administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing, and maintaining paper & electronic files, records scanning and management, and providing information to callers

  • Support of Security related Facility Management items, to include inventory of safes & content, and security container combination changes

  • Handling of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in the course of daily duties

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years of professional experience relevant to DoD Security Administrative support, space access control, and office tasking

  • BS/BA degree, AS/AA, or a High School/GED plus 3 additional years administrative experience in leu of degree

  • Proficiency working with computers and data entry software applications

  • Track and manage AV/IT resources and conference room scheduling

  • Assist with setup and execution of logistics needs for meetings

  • Work with base and building support personnel to ensure admin, IT, and security infrastructure maintenance is provided

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years of Security related administrative experience at NAVAIR or Navy DoD environment operating; NAVAIR Corporate Applications, Defense Travel System (DTS), Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Base Access Security Information Control System (Basics II), Share Point, Government developed databases, and maintaining/coordinating calendars and schedules

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams applications

Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship required and an active TS w/SCI eligibility clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Move about freely in an office / laboratory setting.
