KBR's Defense Systems Engineering Division is seeking a dedicated IT Systems Administrator/Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to enhance our Weaponeering And Stores Planning (WASP) team. This role involves managing the infrastructure, including configuration and data management, as well as overseeing systems administration for essential computer laboratory assets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide comprehensive IT support within a Windows Active Directory environment, deploying standard office software applications.
  • Assist with DoD Cyber Security initiatives, including completing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and addressing vulnerabilities.
  • Enhance the cybersecurity framework of the DoD Information System by utilizing various tools to ensure compliance with DoD/DoN standards.
  • Coordinate system maintenance in a live environment and evaluate software and hardware solutions.
  • Deliver direct customer support, troubleshoot issues, and document processes and guides as necessary.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Citizenship & Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with an existing Department of Defense Secret Security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Education: An Associate degree in IT or a related field is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Certifications:

  • CompTIA Security + CE certification or one certification from each of the following categories:
  • Category 1, IAT-II: (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
  • Category 2, IAM: (CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ CE, HCISPP)

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-6 years of experience in IT and Cyber Security program support as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO).
  • Familiarity with the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) network scanning process.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Experience in managing an Active Directory environment.
  • Proficient in updating and renewing SSL Certificates.
  • Knowledge of eMASS, VRAM, or XACTA.
  • Ability to create and maintain documentation for Authorization to Operate (ATO) and Disaster Recovery Plans.
  • Experience performing System Administrator tasks.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Certification in Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) network scanning.
  • Knowledge of NIST SP and Risk Management Framework.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2012 or later.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft System Center and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with US Navy network systems.
  • Ability to track hardware configurations of system assets.
  • Commitment to professional development and mastery of skills.
  • Understanding of general cybersecurity principles.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is a full-time on-site position, with flexibility in workplace settings as needed.
