This individual will have full P&L responsibilities for the entire business unit, driving all aspects of the financial goals and objectives as well as delivering on strategic initiatives. This role involves critical planning, coordination, and management of project teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Vice President collaborates closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, manages resources, oversees project timelines, and ensures compliance with industry regulations and safety standards. Additionally, they are responsible for business development, nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the growth and profitability of the company. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills.The ideal candidate will have a strong background and history as a sub-contractor working directly for end user clients as well as general contractors in commercial and industrial applications. Extensive experience and relationships in commercial and industrial construction projects on the West Coast is highly valued. A history in Distribution, Cold Storage, Food & Beverage and production facilities is a plus. The team member will have a proven track record in construction operations management, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement. This person must be able to drive P&L results, instill a culture of quality and safety as well as continue an environment built on delivering best in class results.Responsibilities:Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to streamline processes and maximize efficiency.Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards.Manage and optimize resources including personnel, equipment, and materials to meet operational goals. Lead project teams to schedule and allocate resources in an efficient and productive manner to fulfill customer and company objectives profitably.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement measures to improve performance and achieve targets.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.Conduct regular assessments of operational efficiency and effectiveness, making recommendations for enhancements as needed.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.Lead and mentor a team of operations staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the operations team.Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to communicate operational performance and initiatives.Manage a $40-60M P&L, driving financially sound decisions.Collaborate with Business Development team and directly with potential clients to secure projects.Have a thorough understanding of construction estimating and an ability to read and analyze blueprints and construction drawings, with the skill to provide value engineering to clients.Continue to modernize and professionalize operations leveraging technology and best practices.Requirements:We will consider an equivalent history and experience as a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field, although degree preferred.
