The Vice President of Loan Origination will concentrate on enhancing loan production for Genesis Capital by acquiring and finalizing new targeted clients while nurturing existing relationships to boost their engagement with Genesis (Wallet share). As part of the client assessment process, the VP will be accountable for formulating loan conditions, completing necessary documentation with construction specifics, borrower history, and borrower capacity, including pre-funding documentation, and officially advancing the loan from the lead stage to the active pipeline stage. Furthermore, this role will involve preparing and presenting the Letter of Intent (LOI) to the borrower after securing the necessary approvals. This position will entail proactive outreach to potential leads and prospects, participating in face-to-face meetings and presentations, structuring and negotiating loan agreements, and maintaining activity records in the company’s CRM system. The VP will collaborate with various divisions within Genesis, including Credit, Borrower Underwriting, Construction, and Valuations, to ensure a streamlined process and exceptional customer experience from the outset and throughout the ongoing relationship.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate loan origination by fostering existing borrower relationships and increasing lending volume from these clients. Meet production targets established by Genesis senior management.
  • Drive loan origination by identifying and securing new borrowers and loans from diverse sources, including company leads, referrals, and industry participation. Meet production targets established by Genesis senior management.
  • Effectively articulate Genesis’s value proposition to both current and prospective borrowers.
  • Enhance and deepen the Genesis relationship with both existing and new borrowers by creating a positive overall customer experience, with a particular emphasis on client wallet share.
  • Maintain regular, scheduled communication with existing and potential borrowers through in-person meetings, calls, emails, and other communication methods.
  • Engage in relevant networking opportunities such as trade shows and industry conferences.
  • Collaborate directly with the Executive Vice President of Sales and Sales Associate personnel on loan/deal analysis, structuring, packaging, pricing, and borrower approval.
  • Assist in gathering data and documentation for Genesis Capital loans and borrower approvals as required.
  • Work alongside Sales Associate personnel to directly engage with Borrowers and their teams to efficiently advance loans through the vetting process and into the Genesis active loan pipeline.
  • Act as a liaison between Sales and several other Genesis departments, including Evaluations, Credit, Processing, Construction, and Borrower Underwriting as necessary.
  • Manage a specific loan portfolio, addressing various aspects such as post-closing conditions, covenant tracking, annual borrower renewals, loan extensions, and status updates on construction loans.
  • Collaborate with senior management to devise innovative strategies for volume growth.
  • Assist with customer relationship analytics to evaluate and monitor the evolving relationship between Genesis and current/potential customers.
  • Perform additional functions and assist with other projects as assigned.

The ideal candidate should possess over 5 years of relevant experience and meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, sales, or business administration.
  • Experience in sales, particularly within the lending industry.
  • Strong comprehension of the real estate and financial sectors.
  • Real Estate License is mandatory.
