Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to join the Payment Products Development PMO, supporting the Client Services space. Technical Program Managers are highly visible leaders, building bridges across Visa to ensure projects are effectively developed, integrated, and deployed with quality and on time delivery into our production systems. They also coach and mentor teams to deliver critical, customer facing, enterprise class software development projects while continuously growing and improving.

Essential Functions:

You will use a coaching leadership style to promote the Agile values, Principles, and best practices for two Scrum teams. You will help your Scrum Teams with decision making, dependency management, and eliminating impediments to meet sprint and quarterly execution goals.You will consistently and transparently collaborate with engineering managers to relentlessly improve, address challenges, and create a high-performing Scrum Team. You will facilitate Scaled Agile and Scrum ceremonies with a relentless improvement mindset to promote Agile maturity within the team or team of teams.You will partner with other PMO resources to lead Scrum of Scrum ceremonies.You will focus your team on delivering secure, quality working software, sprint after sprint, using acceptance criteria and a definition of done.You will partner with the Product Owner, Dev/QA Leads and Architect to help the team be more predictable in delivery.  You will promote communication between product owner, stakeholders, and development team members to ensure the highest value work is consistently being delivered.You will learn the Visa Agile Methodology governance requirements and ensure that the Scrum Teams meet our corporate goals related to Security, Operational Excellence, and Compliance.Develop and leverage Visa Scaled Agile metrics and reports to help the team understand its health and progress, and to set goals. Work with other Technical PMO resources to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.You will partner with a Lead Technical Program Manager to communicate risk and mitigation plans, Executive-level reporting and material for program status reporting. 

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

•5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

•6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
•Seven or more years of relevant experience as an Agile Project Manager and/or Scrum Master with knowledge of Agile/Lean and SAFe methodologies.
•Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent.
•Concentration in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
•Experience with cloud-based Contact Center applications, specifically Genesys, is a plus.
•Proficiency in Agile tools including Jira Align, Jira, SharePoint, and Confluence.
•Solid understanding of Scaled Agile & Scrum events, including cadence, purpose, and attendees of each event.
•Excellent verbal and written skills. A demonstrated ability to communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally.
•Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with cross-functional interactions. Strong analytical, mediation and problem resolution skills.
•Excellent time management, communication, facilitation, collaboration, and organization skills.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 119,100.00 to 172,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
