About the Role

As a Technical Program Manager Intern in the engineering organization at Confluent, you will play a critical role in fulfilling the engineering vision to build, deliver, and operate highly scalable streaming infrastructure and the surrounding product ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive cross-cutting and/or critical initiatives for the company, working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and implement process and tooling improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Proactively identify and resolve roadblocks and challenges affecting projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Train and mentor other leaders to improve their program management skills.
  • Make technical decisions to keep projects on track and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Security leadership to streamline and drive projects on a predictable schedule.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings and drive decision-making around schedule adjustments, bug triage, and internal and external partner/customer delivery.
  • Act as a communications liaison between technical and non-technical colleagues, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Lead technical design and architecture discussions across cross-functional teams.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Math, or a related technical field with a graduation date between December 2025- August 2026.
  • Strong sense of teamwork and ability to put team's and company's interests first.
  • Driven and excited about the challenges of a fast-paced, innovative software startup environment.
