Through a collaborative approach the Human Resource Consultant will provide client companies with consultation and advice on matters typically assigned to the Human Resource function. This position provides tactical fundamental Human Resource support to all levels of the client’s management team; consultant will deal with organizational issues including employee relations, employment law, policies and procedures, harassment, discrimination and matters of compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Strategically partner with existing clients to identify client needs and provide ongoing consultative support and strategic solutions.
- Provide high-quality, efficient and responsive client service.
- Respond to client requests timely and effectively. - Manage the Austin outsourced HRC client base with employee relations, policy preparation & review, training, compliance & legal updates, handbook services, HR audits and deployment of best practice methodologies.
- Provide support to our clients that utilize the Human Resources e-mail for inquiries.
- Provide recommendations to our clients to broaden our scope of service with additional revenue generating HR consulting.
- Participate in initiatives to promote our services through prospecting, attendance and participation at industry-related programs, conferences, and events.
- Assist with the development and participation in programs, speaking engagements, webinars, etc. as subject matter expert to retain and attract new clients.
- Ensure efficient project management and deliver timely and effective work products.
- Monitor and research human resource/employment related news and prepare client communications as necessary.
- Revise and collaborate on marketing information and client communications as necessary.
- Ensure efficient project management of the HR Consulting Clients’ Services (including the NYSAIS Consortium) delivering timely and effective work products including; topics for quarterly webinars, monthly alerts, and regular “reach out” contact with HR Clients.
- Responsible for the preparation and delivery of compliance services related to the open enrollment process, creating open enrollment compliance checklists, model notices, template documents and compliance calls with clients.
- Work in coordination with the Director of HRC in the preparation of request for proposal & contract / scope of services for new and existing clients
- Coordinate delivery and implementation of HR services with Director of HRC, Account Executives and Account Managers as necessary.
- Recommend to the Director of HRC areas for the Agency to consider additional HRC services and revenue.
- Provide support to the Director of HRC in the development of other HRC Staff through recommendation for training, onboarding and other responsibilities, as assigned.
- Serve as internal consultant and share knowledge and expertise to improve and support the department’s development and agency’s mission.
- Provide HRC support for the Accounting Department in the preparation and collection of client HRC invoices.
- Provide back-up support to the HRC team as necessary to meet the expectations and timelines for client-related projects and services.
- Represent the company in a professional manner in keeping with the company’s mission when interacting with clients, vendors and co-workers. Develop and maintain alliances with business and professional associations through networking and marketing efforts.
- A bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years of Human Resources experience, OR
- Eight (8) years of experience in the HR field, OR
- Any similar combination of education and experience.
