USA Rice creates and oversees programs and partnerships to enhance awareness and increase
usage of U.S.- grown rice among influencer, foodservice, nutrition, and consumer audiences.  USA Rice target audiences include health professionals, foodservice (commercial and non-commercial) operators and communicators, grocery retailers, culinary professionals, food policy officials, social influencers, and trade, health and consumer media.

Position responsibilities: Assists in the strategic and creative development and implementation of USA Rice's promotional programs and partnerships.  Plays a key role in the creation and execution of programs intended to build awareness of U.S.-grown rice and increase consumption.  Develops and maintains strategic relationships with individuals and organizations specializing in food and nutrition issues to include influencers, food writers, retail dietitians, nutrition officials, foodservice and culinary professionals, and food and nutrition government offices.  Responsible for monitoring and identifying food trends and maintaining up-to-date knowledge regarding consumer, nutrition and foodservice trends relevant to the domestic rice industry.  Responsible for promotional graphic design work and maintaining USA Rice's consumer website.  Coordinates USA Rice's social media strategy, overseeing the Federation's social media accounts including X (Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram and launching TikTok presence.  Supervises and manages outside contractors in executing promotional programming.  

Requirements: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience. Must have demonstrated success in marketing communications/public relations field and a background in effective social media strategies.  Excellent communication and solid graphic design skills are required.  Must have the ability to interact effectively with a variety of audiences and personalities.  Creativity, a strong writing ability, and being able to work on deadlines are important traits for success.  Journalism, marketing, advertising, web design and nutrition backgrounds are pluses.
