Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Volunteer Coordinator to join our team at AHC Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and supporting volunteer initiatives that align with our mission to create quality homes and provide holistic resident services.

The Volunteer Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day efforts to recruit, train, and support volunteers, ensuring they can successfully support AHC residents and programs. This role requires strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a passion for AHC's mission and a strong interest in volunteering, volunteer management, and social services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support AHC residents and programs
  • Respond to individual and group volunteer inquiries and facilitate communication with volunteers and staff
  • Support volunteer retention strategies through regular communication, follow-up, and targeted service opportunities
  • Coordinate in-kind contributions and manage systems to collect data on volunteer duties and hours
  • Promote volunteer opportunities through AHC's website, newsletter, and social media

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Passion for AHC's mission and strong interest in volunteering, volunteer management, and social services
  • Ability to interact with a diverse population of volunteers and clients
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office and database experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of volunteer management work experience required
