Youth Program Coordinator

Foundation Communities Inc is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Program Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our youth program team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality educational and recreational programs to our young participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead engaging activities that promote learning, physical fitness, and character development for youth in a safe and inclusive environment.
- Assist children with homework and academic enrichment activities, providing individualized support and guidance.
- Ensure the safety and supervision of students at all times, maintaining a clean and organized classroom and common areas.
- Promote a positive and respectful attitude, fostering a sense of community among participants and staff.
- Maintain accurate program documentation, including attendance records and activity reports.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and pass a criminal background check with fingerprint check.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in email suites and online educational tools.
- Flexibility to meet changing work needs and demands, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lead fitness activities and supervise/participate in sports.
- Ability to interact with a range of age groups, from children to adults.
Preferred Requirements:
- Six months experience working with children, preferably in an educational or support role.
- Course work in Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish, Arabic, or other) skills.
Working Conditions:
Ability to work in various climate conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, and wet environments. May be exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials, with proper training and personal protective equipment provided.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending. Ability to lift small children and participate in physical activities.
Compensation:
$17/hour.
