To accomplish all of this, our team not only set up shipments for our clients, but they troubleshoot, answer questions, and fix issues before they become larger problems. For a Business Development Representative, a typical day might include the following:

  • Initiate and conduct sales calls on potential transactional customers
  • Maintain accounts to retain existing business and grow share of business
  • Track and maintain all sales activities in HubSpot
  • Quote shipment prices to customers
  • Prospect for new sales leads through networking, research and cold calling
  • Provide reports to customers and supervisors
  • Receive calls from vendors and customers, maintaining a high level of customer service
